Introducing bone-based face animation with ARENA Expression + MotionBuilder
OptiTrack's 2009/2010 MotionBuilder add-on package delivers a brand new, custom pipeline for streaming face mocap data into MotionBuilder for bone-based animation—perfect for video game asset creation. The free add-on includes a
pre-rigged character head, constraint builder script, tutorial video, and sample data—offering a simple starting point for all MotionBuilder users interested in producing low-cost, high-quality facial animation.
While Blend Shapes and custom workflows for face animation in MotionBuilder are still supported, the OptiTrack bone-based pipeline is simplified and optimized so that anyone familiar with constraints in MotionBuilder will be able to create
fantastic content with ease. Advanced users can edit the included script for powerful, custom manipulation.
