SimHQ ArmA Multiplayer Mission Making Contest, May 1 - July 1, 2007

With the release of the U.S. version of ArmA, SimHQ is proud to announce a mission making contest sponsored by NaturalPoint using the mission editor included in Armed Assault: Combat Operations.
The mission needs to be a multiplayer, squad-based, cooperative mission.
You can make the mission for just one squad, or make it for up to four squads. Each squad is nine members.
The mission builder with the most votes will be declared the winner and will receive a NaturalPoint TrackIR 4:PRO with 6DoF, TrackClip PRO, and NaturalPoint TrackIR shirt and cap.

The Lowland Tiger Meet is a LAN (Local Area Network) party in Ahaus, Germany. It is the official European Flightsim Championship.
Participant divisions include Il-2, Falcon 4 Allied Force, Lock On, and Freeflight.

OFPEC's Armed Assault/TrackIR Cutscene Competition, Sep. 19 - Nov. 1, 2006

A TrackIR 4:PRO is being provided as the prize.
What is the contest?
Make a stand alone cut scene for Operation Flashpoint, lasting no more than five minutes, and with a maximum of three add-ons. The theme of your movie shall be:
Armed Assault. Create a high quality cut scene, based on whatever you associate with the two words Armed Assault. A veteran team of OFPEC mission reviewers will judge the contest.

ArmedAssault.eu Fiction Competition

A TrackIR 4:PRO is being provided as the prize. The story submission deadline was October 15, 2006 at 4:00AM PT.
What is the contest? We want you to write a fictional story of at least 700 and a maximum of 2000 words in English. The story has to be Armed Assault based. You are free to follow a single character through the story, multiple characters, as a third person observer, or any other form of telling your story. This is your choice.
However, you have to use 12 specific screenshots in your story. This means that the screenshot situations have to be a part of your story. They are in no particular order, so you can arrange them how you like.

The next fragLANd meet is being held in Wootton Villiage Hall, a modern building with a very large capacity, in Bedford, UK.
They'll be playing Quake, Motorhead, Threewave, Unreal Tournament 2004, SWAT 4, Quake 4, BF2, DoD:S, CS:S, DM of sorts, CTF of sorts, GTR Racing, Juiced, Race Driver 3, and more.
TrackIR merchandise is being provided as prizes.

LLTM 2006 was sponsored by NaturalPoint and was once again a great success. TrackIR merchandise was provided as prizes. All participants found the event to be a great challenge, with good facilities and a great atmosphere to meet, fly and chat with fellow flight simmers.
The competition was fierce but fair. The Lock On section had a serious competition going with nine pilots. Visit the

A LAN (Local Area Network) party held in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada at Carleton University.
This is the 11th (and final) LPB Asylum (LPBA) gaming event. TrackIRs will be presented as prizes.

Pure-Lan 4 is being held at Robert Gossart Gymnasium in Condé sur Noireau (14), France.
Games will include Counter-Strike, Battlefield II, NFS Underground Most Wanted, UT 2004, Quake 4, TrackMania Nations ESWC, Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne, and more.

Video Game & Anime EXPO (PAGLAN), June 17-18, 2006

An expo and LAN party brought to you by
Pure Adrenaline Gaming and X-topia.com, featuring PCs, consoles, PSP/D2 and anime viewing.
Will take place over 11,000 sq. ft. in the Student Union Building at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM.
Includes 300+ gamers and many tournaments. Event games include Battlefield 2 series, Counter Strike: Source, and 1.6, Call of Duty 2 series, Call of Duty, F.E.A.R. Quake 4, Quake 3, UT2k4, WoW, Guild Wars, and Trackmania.

A LAN (Local Area Network) party held in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada at Carleton University.
LPB Asylum (LPBA) has now hosted 10 events, building a community of over 250 gamers.
LPBA X marked the three-year anniversary of the group. The event had a capacity of 160 gamers.
TrackIRs were presented as prizes.
